Site Analysis
Understanding the site and its surroundings is the first step to creating a scheme which responds to the natural characteristics of the place and also integrates into the wider area successfully.
Visioning
The vision for the development identifies the driving forces behind the proposals, what is unique about each site, and what benefits the scheme can bring to existing and new residents of the area.
Concept Design
The initial concept design stage tests the spatial arrangement of the different land uses which will make up the proposals, to ensure the scheme responds appropriately to the surrounding context and creates an attractive place in which to live.
Masterplanning
Masterplans are developed at differing levels of detail as appropriate to individual sites. They demonstrate how a site could be developed and how design features can be incorporated into the scheme to create enjoyable places for all.
Vision Documents and Design and Access Statements
Our documents succinctly set out the design rationale which has led to the creation of the scheme, incorporating work done by other members of the team, to demonstrate that the proposals have had comprehensive input and have responded appropriately.
Building for a Healthy Life Pre-Assessments
Using the Building for a Healthy Life framework we provide independent reviews of our clients' schemes. These can add value to the developing design process, and help to explain the proposals in reference to England’s most widely known and most widely used design tool.
